WE SWIM IN ONE WATER I
performance, 45 min Bildmuseet, Umeå, Sweden, 2018 During the performance a sample of Global Ocean is being created, bringing together waters, stories, cultures, beliefs, places, and people. Water from 7 different places of the globe, sent by 7 people is mixed together, the stories of these waters are being told, the water rituals from different belief systems are being enacted. In the final stage the mix of waters - a sample of the global ocean- is being merged with the local river. I am an australian poet, I am an arctic doctor a russian grandmother, I am a dutch artist I am a mountain walker, a volonteer, and a french nomad "We are bodies of water born from the sea In our mother's milk we touch the algae and the shellfish ... WE SWIM IN ONE WATER II
performance, 45 min GIBCA extended Stationen Svenshöhen, 2019 This performance piece evolves in series of transformations: different bodies co-emerge in and with the landscape through time and space, form the first melting of the glacier milk, egg and giving birth, becoming an amphibian body, a bird body, a reindeer’s body, a green kale’s body, an ancestral body, a newcomer’s body, a spongeous body, and all of these bodies at the same time. to returning the water back to the mountain top to begin a new circle. The audience is invited to join a happening by the local body of water. |
